Description:

A slow amble around the Woodmancote and Uley Road areas of Dursley with frequent stops to look at and talk about some of the town’s old buildings, people and other locations with a focus on their history.

There will be frequent short stops of a few minutes each. Standing time included in total.

We will look at Dursley’s heritage and its industries (inc Mawdsleys, Champions, Listers), St Mark’s graveyard, Rivers Mill mill-pond and hear stories about some of the people from Dursley, including Mikael Pedersen, Capt Graham, and Edwin Beard Budding.

Following the walk please join us at the Methodist Church for tea and cake.
